Integrative Psychotherapy

Integrative Psychotherapy is a multidisciplinary approach that considers equally all aspects of the human condition when working with people – the biological, sociological, cultural, psychological, philosophical, spiritual, and psychodynamic factors. It prioritises the therapeutic alliance – as an empathic, authentic and supportive relationship with the client, one which is active and collaborative.

Integrative psychotherapy is founded upon the idea that all therapeutic models are metaphors for different kinds of minds. Following the belief that ‘the map is not the territory’, integrative therapists aim to find the right map (therapeutic approach) for the right territory (person).

Integrative therapy is an individualised, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on the unique needs of a given client. Integrative therapists bring together the best therapeutic approaches to address specific concerns, dreams and goals. It often merges elements of different psychological theories or modifying standard treatments, for a more flexible and inclusive approach to treatment than those who practice singular forms of psychotherapy.

Treatment Plan

The human condition is challenging, it’s often difficult, painful and at times can be disorienting, and we can feel ill equipped to meet those moments in a way we would prefer. If you are someone who has a specific issue you wish to have short term support for, or an issue you wish to gain more insight and understanding into, or someone who is looking to delve deeper into your inner workings, and the root causes of what’s holding you back from a deeper self-knowledge, deeper connections, and a life lived with more intention and vitality, I can tailor a treatment plan to best suit your needs.
